External Evaluation of the Programmatic Strategies for a Global South Feminist Organisation

A leading Global South feminist organization working to transform systems and structures to advance gender equality and the rights of marginalized and structurally excluded women. Between 2020 and 2024, the organisation implemented a comprehensive strategy aimed at resisting human rights regression, demanding accountability, and strengthening feminist movements at national, regional, and global levels.

To review progress, challenges, and lessons from this strategic period, they commissioned an external evaluation conducted by GenderSphere (formerly Gender at Work Consulting Pvt. Ltd.). The evaluation applied an intersectional feminist and participatory methodology, guided by OECD-DAC criteria—relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability.

Key objectives included assessing the organisation’s achievements against its strategic goals, identifying its niche and added value in feminist policy advocacy, examining its organizational and financial sustainability, and generating recommendations to shape the next strategic plan (2025–2029) and inform partners and donors.
