Dharamshala, India
Over three immersive days, Tibetan students from across the country came together for a transformative workshop organized by SARD, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). This space was designed to explore the intersections of identity, gender, and societal structures. Through embodied learning, storytelling, and collective reflection, participants journeyed from introspection to action—creating a brave space where open dialogue, mutual respect, and even disagreement led to deeper understanding and solidarity.
The workshop, conceptualized and facilitated by Arundhati Samudra, was rooted in the principle of “What’s Alive for Us”. The workshop moved beyond conventional discussions and engaged participants in movement-based exercises, image theatre, storytelling, and forum interventions. These methods provided a creative and embodied way to question norms, unpack internalized beliefs, and reimagine possibilities for inclusive and equitable communities.
