GenderSphere collaborated with CTA to strengthen gender integration through comprehensive training, capacity building, and technical support. As part of this initiative, various workshops were conducted to enhance the capacity of program officers across CTA divisions to effectively address gender issues within their projects
The workshop focused on integrating gender perspectives into program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation through theoretical sessions, case studies, and project-specific discussions. Additionally, the engagement involved reviewing existing gender indicators, conducting training on Gender Action Learning tools, providing ongoing virtual support, and assisting in the development of department-specific M&E systems. Gender equality change projects were formulated, accompanied by tailored action plans and recommendations.
The overall objectives of these workshops –
- Equip participants with leadership skills, fostering a visionary approach and a growth mindset to prepare for departmental and personal leadership over the next 5-10 years.
- Develop an appreciation for diversity, understand its current status within the organisation (CTA), and initiate actionable steps to foster an inclusive environment.
This initiative has been a valuable and impactful effort in advancing gender-responsive practices within CTA.
